The programme

Five formats, deliberately different

Each one exists because the others cannot do its job.

Weekly · 60 min

Grand Rounds

One real case, presented by the clinician who managed it and then opened to an international audience. Disagreement is the point — the discussion is not a formality at the end.

Monthly · 90 min

Masterclass

A single topic taken to the depth a fellowship would take it, with the trial evidence, the guideline position and the places where the two do not agree.

Quarterly · 2–3 hrs

Live Case Transmission

Cath lab to screen, with the operator narrating the decisions as they are made — including the ones that go wrong and what is done about them.

Fortnightly · 45 min

Journal Club

One recent paper, read properly. Methods first, conclusions last, and an honest verdict on whether it changes anything on Monday.

Annual · 2 days

Global Summit

The Academy’s flagship meeting — invited faculty, member presentations, the annual awards and a structured review of the year in cardiovascular medicine.

Calendar

What is coming up

All times shown in IST (UTC+5:30). Sessions are recorded and posted to registered attendees within 48 hours.

Site owner: this table is a working template with your recurring schedule in place and dated sessions left as placeholders — deliberately, because inventing dates and faculty names on a live CME page would be dishonest. Fill in the date, title and speaker for each row, or replace the whole table with The Events Calendar shortcode [tribe_events] once that plugin is reinstalled.

Credits & certification

What you receive, and what it is worth

Stated plainly, because CME accreditation claims are the easiest thing in medical education to overstate.

Certificate of participation

Issued for every live session you attend, in your name, stating the date, the title and the contact hours.

Attendance record

A cumulative record in your member account, exportable as a single PDF for your annual appraisal or revalidation file.

Accreditation status

Academy sessions carry contact hours, not council-accredited CME points. Accreditation differs by country — check the certificate against your own council’s rules before claiming credit.

Recordings for 12 months

Registered attendees keep access to the recording and the slide deck for at least twelve months. Members keep it permanently.

Attending

Three steps and a calendar invite

1

Register once

One registration covers the whole recurring programme. You do not re-register every week.

2

Get the invite

A calendar invite and joining link arrive by email, with a reminder ninety minutes before each session.

3

Attend or catch up

Join live and ask questions, or take the recording. Certificates are issued for live attendance.

Take part

Present, host or partner

Present a case

Academy members may submit a case for grand rounds. Send the presentation, the imaging and the question you want the audience to answer.

Join the faculty

Masterclass and summit faculty is drawn from the membership first. Gold and Platinum members are considered automatically.

Host with your department

Run a joint session with your institution — your case material, our platform and audience, co-branded certificates.

Sponsorship & exhibition

Limited, clearly declared, and never editorial. Sponsors do not select topics or review content.

Founder & Course Director

Dr. A M Thirugnanam

MD, MSICP, FSCAI, Ph.D. — Senior Interventional Cardiologist

Every course, textbook and CME session published by the Academy is written, reviewed and signed off by a practising senior interventional cardiologist — not by a content team. That is the whole reason the Academy exists: teaching material that survives contact with a real cath lab, a real ICU and a real board examination.

  • Interventional Cardiology
  • Complex PCI
  • Structural Heart
  • Medical Education
  • Author & Researcher

What that means for you

  • Landmark trials cited by name — SYNTAX, EXCEL, ISCHEMIA, PARTNER, COAPT, TWILIGHT
  • Guideline updates folded in within weeks, not editions
  • Case material drawn from 35+ countries
  • Every clinical page carries a named author and review date
Registration

Register for the CME programme

Free for all doctors and cardiology trainees. One registration, the whole recurring calendar, unsubscribe whenever you like.

Site owner: replace the shortcode below with your Forminator or WPForms registration form ID, or with The Events Calendar RSVP block once that plugin is back.

CME FAQ

Practical questions

Yes for grand rounds, journal club and masterclasses. Live case transmissions and the annual summit have limited capacity and members are seated first.

You receive a certificate stating contact hours. Whether those hours are claimable as CME credit depends on your national council — some accept documented international sessions, some do not. We state the hours honestly and let you check.

Sessions run on Zoom with the joining link sent by calendar invite. No account or software purchase is needed to attend.

The recording carries the content but not the discussion you would have joined. If the hour is impossible, take the recording — but bring your question to the next session you can attend live.

Yes. Grand rounds and journal club are open to the whole cardiac team. Some masterclasses assume prescribing-level knowledge and say so in the description.

It is emailed within 72 hours of a live session you attended, and stored in your member account. Recordings do not generate a certificate.

Yes — register once per person so certificates issue correctly, then join from one room. Institutional partnerships get a co-branded certificate.

Any commercial support is declared on the session slide and in the recording description. Sponsors have no role in selecting topics, speakers or content, and no editorial review.
