The Academy of Elite Doctors maintains a directory of its verified members so that patients, referring physicians and institutions can find a cardiologist with the right subspecialty expertise in the right place. Every entry belongs to a doctor whose qualifications and registration have been checked by the Academy before publication.

What verification means here

A listing in this directory is not a paid advertisement. Before a member appears, the Academy confirms:

  • Primary medical qualification and the institution that awarded it.
  • Postgraduate and superspecialty training in cardiology or the relevant discipline.
  • Current registration with the applicable national or state medical council, in good standing.
  • Declared subspecialty practice — the procedures and conditions the member actually manages, rather than an aspirational list.
  • Current place or places of practice.

Members are asked to reconfirm these details annually. A listing that cannot be reconfirmed is withdrawn.

How to search

The directory can be filtered by subspecialty — interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, heart failure and transplant, structural and valvular intervention, echocardiography and cardiac imaging, preventive and cardiometabolic cardiology, paediatric and adult congenital heart disease, and cardio-oncology — and by city and country. Where a member offers teleconsultation, that is noted on the entry.

What a directory entry is, and is not

An entry tells you that a doctor holds the qualifications stated and practises in the field and location stated. It is not a ranking, a clinical endorsement of any individual, or a guarantee of any particular outcome. The Academy does not accept payment for placement or for position within search results. Patients should discuss any specific treatment decision with their own treating physician; nothing in this directory constitutes medical advice.

For patients and families

If you are looking for a cardiologist, come with your existing records — recent ECGs, echocardiogram reports, angiography reports, discharge summaries and a current medication list. A cardiologist can give you a far more useful opinion with those in hand. Where you need a second opinion on a decision that has already been made, say so at the point of booking, so enough time is set aside.

For doctors who want to be listed

Listing is open to Academy members. To be included, join the Academy and submit your name and post-nominals, medical council registration number, subspecialty areas, institutions, city and country, and preferred professional contact route. Verification usually takes a few working days. Existing members can update or correct an entry at any time through the contact page.

Membership carries more than a directory entry: members take part in the Academy research programme, contribute to the interesting cases library, are eligible for the Academy awards, and have access to the course programme and the Academy reading list.
