This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for everything the Academy of Elite Doctors sells: membership subscriptions, course enrolments, CME and event registrations, and the digital reading list. It applies to every order placed through this website. Placing an order means you accept the terms set out here.
Membership subscriptions
A membership may be cancelled at any time from your membership account. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not automatically refund the current term.
- Within 7 days of a new membership purchase, and where no members-only material has been downloaded and no members-only event has been attended, a full refund is available on request.
- After 7 days, or where member benefits have already been used, the current term runs to its end date and no refund is due. Access continues until that date.
- Renewals are notified in advance. A renewal cancelled within 7 days of the charge, with no benefit used in the new term, is refunded in full.
Courses and CME programmes
- Before the programme opens, a cancellation more than 7 days ahead of the start date is refunded in full; within 7 days, an administration charge may be retained to cover materials and reserved faculty time.
- After access has been granted to an on-demand course, or after the first live session of a scheduled course, the enrolment is non-refundable, because the material is delivered in full at that point.
- If the Academy cancels or reschedules a programme, you may transfer to the next cohort or take a full refund, whichever you prefer.
- Transfers to a later cohort are permitted once, without charge, if requested before the programme opens.
Events, webinars and conference tickets
Registrations cancelled more than 14 days before the event are refunded in full. Between 14 and 7 days, half the fee is refunded. Inside 7 days, the fee is not refundable, but the registration may be transferred to another named clinician at no cost. If the Academy cancels an event, every registrant is refunded in full; the Academy is not liable for travel or accommodation booked independently.
Digital books and downloadable material
Titles listed in the Academy reading list are fulfilled by our publishing partner at cardiologybooks.com, and the refund terms shown at that checkout apply to those orders. As a general rule, a digital file cannot be returned once the download has been delivered, so eBooks and PDF downloads are not refundable after delivery. Two exceptions always stand: a file that is corrupt, incomplete or unreadable, and a file that is materially not what the product page described. In both cases we replace the file, and refund if a working replacement cannot be supplied.
Duplicate, failed and incorrect charges
Duplicate payments, charges for an order that never completed, and amounts debited in error are refunded in full as soon as they are identified. You do not need to argue the point; send the transaction reference and it will be reversed.
How to request a refund
Write through the contact page with your order number, the email address used at checkout, the item concerned and the reason. Requests are acknowledged within 2 working days and decided within 7 working days.
How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Once the Academy has issued the refund, the time it takes to appear depends on your bank or card issuer, typically 5 to 10 working days for cards and shorter for UPI and net banking. Payment gateway charges may be deducted where the gateway does not return them on a reversal; where that applies, the amount is stated before the refund is processed.
Disputes
If you disagree with a decision, ask for it to be reviewed. A second reviewer who was not involved in the original decision will look at the request. Contacting us directly is faster than raising a chargeback, and it does not affect any statutory right you hold under the consumer protection law of your country.
Changes to this policy
The Academy may update this policy. The version in force at the time of your order is the one that governs it. See also the Academy’s terms and conditions and privacy policy.
