Every cardiology trainee reaches a point where the problem stops being comprehension and becomes retrieval. You understand the physiology. You have managed the cases. How residents use it
The format rewards repetition. Most trainees who work through it treat one chapter as a single sitting, mark the twenty notes they could not reproduce unprompted, and return to those alone on the second pass. By the third pass the marked set is usually under fifty notes across the whole book, and that residue is what you carry into the final fortnight.
It maps cleanly onto viva preparation too. Landmark evidence is cited by trial name rather than paraphrased — SYNTAX, EXCEL, ISCHEMIA, PARTNER, COAPT, DANISH — so when an examiner asks what changed practice, you are recalling the study rather than a summary of it.
