Cardiology Career Mentorship — 1:1 with Dr A M Thirugnanam

250,000.00

A multi-year one-to-one mentorship taking a student from the first year of medical school through to a cardiology training post. Monthly 1:1 calls, live masterclasses, complete library access. By application.

Description

The gap this exists to close

The decisions that determine whether a medical student ends up in cardiology are made years before anyone applies for a cardiology post — which research to attach to, which rotation to fight for, when to sit which examination, which publication actually counts and which merely occupies a year. Students with a cardiologist in the family navigate this. Almost everyone else guesses.

This mentorship exists to remove the guessing. It is a multi-year one-to-one relationship with Dr A M Thirugnanam, MD, MSICP, FSCAI, Ph.D., Senior Interventional Cardiologist, running from the first year of medical school through to entering cardiology training.

What it involves

Monthly one-to-one calls, scheduled around the mentee’s academic calendar, dealing with whatever the current decision actually is rather than a fixed syllabus. Live group masterclasses on clinical and career topics, with recordings retained for mentees who are on nights or in examinations. Complete access to the cardiology e-library, so reading is never the constraint. Direct guidance on research selection, publication strategy, examination timing, elective and observership choices, and application preparation.

Why the Academy runs it as an application

There is no checkout button on this programme and that is deliberate. The commitment runs for years on both sides, cohort size is limited by the number of mentees one clinician can genuinely know, and the mentorship only works where the mentee’s intention is real. Applications are reviewed individually and a conversation follows before any place is offered.

Who should apply

Medical students from first year onward who have decided on cardiology; interns and junior residents planning the route to DM, DNB or an international fellowship; and doctors returning to the cardiology track after time in another specialty. Applicants outside India are welcome — mentoring is remote and the fee is billed in Indian rupees.

Fee

₹2,50,000 one time, covering the full multi-year term with no recurring charge. International applicants may find it useful to note that this is approximately US$2,500, though billing is in INR.

Applications are handled by the publisher — apply for a mentorship place.
