Trainees who buy quick-notes volumes one at a time tend to end up with three different organising logics competing for the same recall. This collection exists because the notes were written to interlock: the ECG material assumes the general cardiology chapters, the echo material assumes both, and cross-references run in all directions.

Why the Academy recommends it as a set
The commonest revision failure we see in members is uneven coverage — an outstanding grasp of coronary intervention sitting beside a shaky command of valvular haemodynamics, because the reading was assembled opportunistically. Members are advised to work through it in the order the volumes are numbered, not by preference, precisely because the weakest area is the one a trainee will avoid if given the option.
Practical structure
Each note is a single retrievable statement. Chapters are short enough to complete in one sitting, which matters when revision is happening in the gaps between clinical duties rather than in protected study time. Numerical thresholds — gradients, velocities, ejection fractions, intervals, scores — are stated as numbers rather than described, because that is how they are examined.
